China phones are a lot inexpensive compare to some original phones. These phones are available all over the Philippines. Though it is a fake one, there are still people who bought it and yes I have also one model of china phone. I have here original Nokia phone model 1200 at home but it doesn’t have the multimedia which is a bit boring every time I use it. I buy china phone for the reason that I can’t buy those phone which has multimedia because it is quite expensive since I’m a student that time. I bought the phone about three years ago and luckily it is still working. I never thought that this phone will last for three years. The model of the phone that I have is A-GSM/ A200, I bought it Php. 2,400. It is a QWERTY keypad, dual sim card standby, and Bluetooth 2.0, Fm Radio, Camera, Mp3 and mp4 player.

Talaba with Friends

Negros Occidental is not only reach in sugar but also with different kinds of seafood and one of it is TALABA (Oysters). Talaba is famous in our province especially in Himamaylan City. One of the sources of income of the people in our municipality is Talaba. Over the city there are a lot of cultured oysters that's why me and my friends after we hang up we choose talaba for our lunch. We bought a half sack of talaba around 80 pesos. Even though there are some shell that is hard to open we still enjoying it. For those who doesn't even experience eating talaba, I suggest you to try especially if your going to visit our province.

That Blogger Guy

When I was surfing the net late afternoon and saw one of the blog and as what I observe the author uses our own language (Filipino Language). I read some articles in the blog and I find it very interesting and cool blog. As what I've notice also the author has awards by being a blogger. I was really inspired as a simple blogger to do more because like me as a reader I know that there are others whom you can be influenced just by blogging.
Since I was inspired by his blog it took me to ask him some of the tips and pointers to do in blogging. I saw his twitter account so we do have a little conversation over the twitter and he told me that one of the things to be remembered when you are blogging is that you blog to express not to impress. I ask him again “How is it important to use our own language though there are a lot of foreign readers?” I ask it to him because we cannot deny the fact the there’s a lot of Filipino blogger who choose to use the universal language especially me. You know what he told me?

Happy Teachers

Photo taken during the celebration of Teachers Day in CHMSC Bin.

This post is for all teachers who has a great sacrifices or who has the important role in the world. They are considered a hero to us because without them I can’t imagine how world goes.  As a student I saw the sacrifices of the teachers. I find and realized that teaching is not as simple to think. Being a teacher comes great responsibilities for them on how to import knowledge to students by the means of teaching. Imagine everyday they are facing different kind of student with different kinds of personalities, a big challenge for them on how to manage those student and teach them lessons every day. Like us, teachers are not perfect also; sometimes they can say some bad words or actions that are not meant to be. I do understand them though sometimes I can’t deny where I can say something that is not good to hear. They are also human being that have feelings and sometimes to stressed in the work.

However the purpose is to use them collectively as a phone and if you’re in the mood for it, a mini tablet. There are two specific elements dicated to the SIM storage with phone memory and microphone. These elements are distinguished with their fancy etchings on the back.

#NoToCyberCrimeLaw

Filipino netizens including me are turning our Facebook profile and our twitter photos into black as a sign of protest against the controversial Cybercrime bill as well as of a personal protest we also carry Facebook status messages that shows a "black bar" that is followed by "[STATUS BLOCKED] (RA NO 10175)."  Well as a blogger, I believe that this law will affect our activities over the internet like putting up limitations for what we are posting . I mean we netizens must be responsible enough with our doings over the net. I know that this law is made to solve or minimize cyber crimes that is now happening especially in our country Philippines.  This law are build because of the irresponsible person who do illegal activities using the internet, in other words MISUSED OF INTERNET.

Masskara Festival 2012

16th ABS-CBN MASK MAKING COMPETITION

One of the most famous festivals in the Philippines today, the MassKara Festival in Bacolod City was born 32 years ago.
One of the happiest festival in the country, it rose from the gloom that enveloped the city in 1980s, a period of tragedy and economic dislocation.
During this period, the prices of sugar in the world market were at an all-time low. Negrenses, including Bacolenos, were in a crisis as the province only relied in the sugar industry then.
The depression was further aggravated when passenger vessel Don Juan sank on April 22, where an estimated 700 Negrenses, including prominent families, perished.

Favorite Delicacies

These are my favorite delicacies . For some who doesn't know this product, I provided description below.

1.Piaya is a flat unleavened bread filled with mozcovado (raw) sugar. A product of the Negros province, sugar capital of the Philippines, it is now also produced by other regions in the Visayas.  The bread is flaky, just like the Chinesehopia, and the filling is, of course, sweet. The dough is prepared then formed into small balls. The filling of mozcovado sugar is spooned at the center of each ball then the ball is re-shaped. Rolling pins are used to flatten them. Ovens used for commercially produced piaya are not enclosed contraptions but more like huge open griddles. The flattened piaya are arranged in rows and columns, cooked until the underside is lightly browned then flipped over to brown the opposite side.

Manjuyod, Negros Oriental

Checking my files in my PC when I saw this pictures and the memories flash back to me, the time when we do our activities in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental. Let me share with you my experiences in that place.
Apart of being a student I am also involved in an organization where in the goal is to help, give care to those casualties of different activities especially in our school by the means of first aid. We are not only in the line of medics, we give also training and share to others what we have and our learning’s. It was 2011 when we started our first external activity in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental. Together with the HEART a rescue team of Binalbagan and Mr. Roger Manzano the Extension Coordinator of the School, the ASSAP Emergencies (Association of student Social Action and Preparedness during Emergencies) finds their way out in Binalbagan to go to Manjuyod community to give seminar to the folks about the basic first aid and life support as well as water safety for them to know what would be better to do if their are casualties of different calamities. We choose that place because they are far from the medical center or hospital.

Cris "Kesz" Valdez

Kesz Valdez was a victim of maltreatment and child abuse in the Philippines. He forced to scavenge on dumpsites at the age of two and suffered burns on his arms and back which forced him to run away from home. Kesz Valdez lived a painful childhood that is unfortunately not a unique case for children in the Philippines. Poverty in the nation is the cause why children are forced to work so hard to at least they can help their parents to buy food to ate.

The New Government Center, Bacolod City

The NEW GOVERNMENT CENTER or NGC is at present a sight to behold, rising from out of an open space of fresh greenery, catching the attention of passers-by who sometimes call it THE WHITE HOUSE. The building stands proudly along the eastern part of the Circumferential Road which is considered the EDSA of Bacolod as it can be approached from all the four direction entrances to the city.

Ragged Shoe

When I first saw this Ragged Shoe in the Fish Cage in Himamaylan City I laughed without knowing that this one is a tool for the fisherman to protect their feet upon stepping in the water. Protecting the foot from oysters shell and some of the materials like broken glasses/bottles which can cause wounds etc.
Sometimes things are said to be waste when they are no longer a part to us  but look at this shoe waste to us  but useful to other.

CampoManes, Sipalay

It was last year 2010 when i went to sipalay for a trip. That trip was such a memorable and unforgettable adventure in my life as a student. It was me together with the information technology student and instructors who’ve been traveling for about 3 in a half hour from Binalbagan to Sipalay, Negros Occidental.

Children Today, People of Tomorrow

Photography by : Anthony Colon

Afternoon when I'm with these kids and they told me to go to the seashore to watch sunset. Upon waiting the sunset I saw them running, dancing, singing in which they made me smile. I heard their laughter, I saw their smiles; these moment of my life reminds me of my childhood days. FREE like there are no boundaries for everything, enjoying life like no problems. "Growing Up is Never Easy", i've come to age now and I realize how complicated life would be, still fighting for the different challenges. Sometimes I wish to be a child  again who keeps on playing and playing, but I know that's impossible. Now that I'm facing the real life I have to be holistic in every tough decision and think positive always.

JULY DAYS

Three months after graduation when I decided to move to Bacolod City to find a job that somehow will help me in my daily expenses. We rent a room together with friend because I decided to stay in the city as long as I can find a job. Together with my classmates we started to walk around the city bringing out our resumes. At first we find it fun and we are enjoying as we are riding with the jeeps and inquiring in different companies in the city. We encounter a lot of bloopers that from now I never forgot. In a hot atmosphere we move along the city with sweats and looking so haggard.
