That Blogger Guy

When I was surfing the net late afternoon and saw one of the blog and as what I observe the author uses our own language (Filipino Language). I read some articles in the blog and I find it very interesting and cool blog. As what I've notice also the author has awards by being a blogger. I was really inspired as a simple blogger to do more because like me as a reader I know that there are others whom you can be influenced just by blogging.

Since I was inspired by his blog it took me to ask him some of the tips and pointers to do in blogging. I saw his twitter account so we do have a little conversation over the twitter and he told me that one of the things to be remembered when you are blogging is that you blog to express not to impress. I ask him again “How is it important to use our own language though there are a lot of foreign readers?” I ask it to him because we cannot deny the fact the there’s a lot of Filipino blogger who choose to use the universal language especially me. You know what he told me?

He answered “Filipino First Policy”. These three words marked and remains in my mind because I felt guilty for some reasons. Talking about nationalism, I know that there are a lot of people who promote our country, the cultures and many others especially our own language. So it is so hard to think that me a Filipino blogger doesn't even use that language in just a simple blog.

For that to my countryman I felt very sorry to you guys in choosing the English Language in my blog. The reasons why I choose to use the language because of what I said a while ago there are a lot of foreign readers for me to think that I blog not only for Filipinos but to other people around the globe, so I use the Universal language. In this way I can make other readers especially foreign readers to understand what I am writing of. I know that there are Filipino people who are not perfect in using and understanding English language but I believe Filipinos are bright and intelligent one. We are optimistic and open minded people where these are the major factors to learn very easily. Filipino people are open to changes and open to new things.

I know some of you guys especially twitter people familiar with issue last time about foreign artist who says something about the colour of our skin in an interview (not to mention her name). That issue becomes viral to the social networking sites and to media as well. There’s a lot of Filipinos who reacted to the issue and I can’t blame them.  I read some posts where there is harsh reaction like using some bad words. For me sometimes it is not so bad to protect ourselves and show our own stand to certain issues but it is not bad also to don’t mind them. I believe that Criticisms are the breakfast of tomorrow, we cannot avoid this happenings in our life but then again sometimes maybe these are the reason for us to strive more and do more not to prove to them but prove to ourselves that we can. Whatever other may say to us is nothing because we know ourselves more. My message to that foreign actress “We are Filipinos and we are proud for who we are, for where we came from, for what the color of our skin”.
